Brandy Melville

Fashion Obsession > No articles in my closet do I get asked about more often than those from Brandy Melville. No brand or store encompasses a Southern California girls style more so than this one and it is easy to see why. Cottons so soft and delicate it is as if you have already broken them in. Dress shirts with sexy cutouts, hemlines you have never imagined. And enough print options and colors to make any California scenery jealous.

Upon entering the Melville stores you get a sense that you walked into your own personal dream weavers home. With large spools of fabric under tables and leaning on walls, cotton wrapped wire hangers holding all the clothes, custom and hand painted wooden signs reading: "Malibu High" and "Love is My Religion", this place is a California girl's dream.

Brandy Melville has been a favorite of mine for a few years now and luckily for all of us they are expanding here in LA. With a new store in Topanga Canyon, this makes it the 3rd and largest location in Los Angeles adding onto the already fabulous 3rd Street Promenade and Westwood locations. You can get more info and see their lookbook on their website HERE. Note that not all of their locations are listed on this webpage but trust me, a trip to their stores is the only way to experience Brandy Melville.

Tropical Thunder Down Under

Wish List > In the words of C. Bradshaw, "Hello lover". I mean... these are just colorful perfection. You can thank Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra for these beauties and they can be yours for a cool $495 at Barneys.
My favorite part about this particular style and pattern mixture is that I can see myself in my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans circa 2007 and an ultra comfy basic tee. Throw on a chunky bracelet or statement necklace and you are set. Comfy and effortlessly fabulous, every girls dream outfit.

White White Hot

Fashion Obsession > Open Back Jumpsuit meet my closet. Closet meet the Open Back Jumpsuit. This one piece wonder came across my radar last week while searching for my birthday best. I need. I want. I must have. Of course I didn't end up buying it for my birthday, as my girlfriend Nicole suggested, because destruction was inevitable. Sorry for partying.

I have always been a fan of Zara but lately I find it becoming a new staple obsession. This past Saturday my boyfriend decided he wanted to update his wardrobe and I immediately took him here. I couldn't decide if I wanted him to keep his new clothes on or if I wanted to rip them off. I believe Zara has a new fan and I am not complaining.

Like any high street brand, Zara designs amazing and affordable pieces with European cuts that favor the skinny and tall, unlike so many American brands. I always find their pieces to be perfectly cut and tailored to give classic and sexy looks without breaking the bank. This piece in particular has me struck because of its versatility in style, its beauty in the sheer neckline and open back, and it's $80 price tag.

Explore Zara USA. You can thank me later! ;-)
